About the Seam Visualizer

The Seam Visualizer allows you to select two different schedules for two different bid periods. The tool will then show you the seam period days which transition you from your previous schedule to your new schedule. Seams only apply to transitions between fixed schedules.

The seam period starts on the last Friday of the last month in a bid period, and extends 14 days. Seam tables consist of tables A and B, which are selected based on the which line starts on the last Friday of the last month in a bid period.

Select a bid transition period for the months and year which you want to view a schedule seam, and the correct seam table (A or B) will be selected automatically. Then, select your previous and new schedules. The "Previous Schedule" is the schedule which you currently hold, and the "New Schedule" is the schedule which you have been awarded in the future. You can also select any combination of schedules to view hypothetical seam transitions for planning purposes, such as determining your next bid.

Work days are indicated by colored squares on the calendar. Blue squares indicate the normal work days for each line of the selected schedules. Orange squares indicate work days within the seam period. Off days are indicated by white or gray squares. The orange and gray squares represent the 14 day seam period. Bold day numbers on the calendar represent the full 28 day seam table.

The background colors of the calendar cards represent each schedule bid period, which start October 1, February 1, and June 1 each year.
